Rapid Setting For Oracle v. 1.1.7

RSFO - Rapid Setting For Oracle - version 1.1.7 is availble. This new version is validated for Oracle RAC 18c.

RSFO is a clusterware tool that preset an environment before the installation of Oracle RAC. It has to be run once and set up to 12 nodes in parallel.

RSFO will automatically set for you:

  •      -  Kernel parameters setting (with shared memory, hugepages and semaphore adjusted to the environment capacity)
  •      SELinux setting
  •          Install the required packages (and check if the option-rpms repo is available)
  •         Configure the firewall rules (for private and public addresses)
  •          Set the limits
  •          Update the /etc/profile
  •          Create the groups and users (for grid, asm and oracle db)
  •          Set the environment variables (in bash_profile of the users
  •          Create the directories
  •          Enable oracle and grid ssh
  •      Disable the transparent hugepages
  •      Create a tuned-adm profile specific to Oracle
  •      Disable the avahi-daemon
  •      Update the logind.conf

     RSFO does not:

  •          Configure the storage
  •          Configure the network
  •          Perform the Oracle installation
